U.S. EPA Extends Deadline for Comments on Risk Assessment

On April 17, 2025, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published a notice extending the comment period for the agency’s “Draft Sewage Sludge Risk Assessment for Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA) Perfluorooctane Sulfonic Acid (PFOS). PFOA and PFOS are broadly referred to as per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances or PFAS. The public comment period was extended to August 14, 2025.
